Ski Off 260ft Cliff. Double Backflip. Fly Away. Ea...
It’s not every day you get to ski off a 260ft cliff, launch a double backflip, and fly away in a parachute. As Matthias “Super Frenchie” Giraud’s first ski-BASE with JT Holmes (of the Red Bull Air Force), and JT’s first ski-BASE jump since the legendary Shane McConkey‘s tragic accident in 2009, this was a... Big Way Battle: 53-Way Sequentials
The intro music makes it sound like an epic battle for a 50+ way. So intense. But really, awesome camera angles and flying on this big way record in Paraguay — it’s cool to see the view between a flyer’s feet, watching someone come in to dock. Congrats to everyone! Watch Video »
Swooping Palm Trees. Beach Landing. Life Is Good.
Life is good when you can swoop some palm trees and land on a beach. When and where was your most exotic landing? (no, landing off in a corn field does NOT count as “exotic.”) Watch Video »
Friday Freakout: Student's Bag Lock... To Pull or ...
“Hmmm. I’m sure there’s something I’m meant to do in this situation? Arch harder? No, that’s not it. Something to do with ET? No, wait, EP… that’s it!” This guy is a model student, right up until his d-bag is bouncing around unopened and he forgets anything about Emergency Procedures. Oops. Almost 8 seconds later,... Friday Freakout: Check Yourself Before You Wreck Y...
Ever heard of a “very-last-SECOND” gear check? It’s not like a typical gear check that happens before you climb out. No, this one happens in the door and is usually performed by a friend who sees your d-bag and lines trailing out of your container. It consists of someone yanking you back in the plane... Hot Chicks Do Mr. Bills
No really, they do! Check out this sweet clip of a Mr. Bill, with angles from the plane, the canopy pilot and the hottie hangin’ on for dear life. Have you ever done a Mr. Bill? Did it go horribly right (like this) or horribly wrong (like this), or somewhere in between? Watch Video »
80 Jumps Later...
I feel compelled to buy a pole for my GoPro, then jump off cliffs and antennas after watching this video. Trond Bjelde shares a collection of clips as he makes his way towards his first 100 BASE jumps. Looks like he had an awesome year, and many more jumps to come. Watch Video »
Friday Freakout: Swooper Crashes Into Plane
Unfortunately this swooper thought he was at a swoop comp and mistook the plane for a gate. Admittedly, I was disappointed the gate, err, plane didn’t make the “woop-woop” sound… at least so that he thought he made the gates. This is not recommended. And always remember: bones can heal, but the repairs to a... Watch Video »
Friday Freakout: Plane Stalls, Skydivers Narrowly ...
So my idea of a shitty situation goes something like this: plane stalls on jump run. Skydivers get ejected. Plane’s tail narrowly misses skydivers by inches (or less). WOW, these guys are lucky. At least it didn’t end like this terrifying plane stall, or their parachutes didn’t catch on the tail like this guy. Watch Video »
Long Distance Swooping (1,600 Feet / 500 Meters)
No wind, a clear autumn day, and a Litespeed glider made the perfect combination for swooping across a 1,600 foot (500 meter) lake in the Austrian mountains. Watch Video »
