Friday Freakout: Skydiver Crashes Into Paraglider
This is crazysauce! A skydiver crashes into a paraglider while tracking over a beach in Oludeniz, Turkey. I’m not sure I agree with blaming the skydiver or the paraglider; I think the mistake here was sharing airspace in the first place, but some of you might feel differently. What do you think? Amazing 400-Way Formation Skydiving World Record
This is an old clip from 2006 of the World Team completing the 400-way formation skydiving world record in Thailand. This isn’t like the Mission 100 big way at Parachute Montreal or the Square One 200-Way Sequential at Skydive Arizona. This is a very impressive 400-way… like a game of human Tetris in the sky.... Friday Freakout: Terrifying Plane Stall
This is the ultimate Friday Freakout. A paraplegic tandem skydive. A stalled plane in a corkscrew. A loose reserve handle. And scared skydivers. The first few things that come to mind are “oh f*ck” and “get out now!” So happy to see everyone land safely. That was pretty intense. Thanks to Frederik Potgieter for sharing... Watch Video »
New Brazilian 102-Way Record at Skydive Arizona
I love the look of “raining people” on big way formation skydives. This is a great feel-good video. Congrats to the Brazilian Dream Team for setting a new 102-way Brazilian big way record at Skydive Arizona on April 20, 2011. Juan Mayer also snapped a great shot of the exit on this jump. Mr. Bill + Velocity 96 = 4.1 Wingload
What do you get when you pull off a Mr. Bill on a PD Velocity 96? A fast canopy with a 4.1 wingload. I've posted a few Mr. Bills in the past: the popular Friday Freakout which goes horribly wrong (watch here: http://bit.ly/ik1zO9), one that goes horribly right (watch here: http://bit.ly/jKkydR), and the human slingshot on first attempt (watch: http://bit.ly/nIhp6L). Which of those clips is your fave? Watch Video »
Friday Freakout: World's Fastest CRW Wrap
Canopy relative work 101: don’t do this. If you’re in to CRW and believe “it’s not a wrap without a cutaway,” this just goes to show you that not all wraps end in a reserve ride… and no lines were harmed in the making of this video. Have you ever had a wrap before, and... Watch Video »
The PD Factory Team Is Training Hard. Are You?
The World Cup is under way and the PD Factory Team is training hard with their patented P90Exit workout. Great form, JT. Great form. Are you training this hard? Watch Video »

Friday Freakout: Skydiving Nutshot
I’m not sure what’s worse: taking a nutshot on a hybrid-gone-wrong or listening to this high-pitched background music — although it (kind of) suits the situation. At least he still finished the jump. Thanks to Greg Lu for sharing this hilarious clip. Wait for it… Watch Video »
World Atmonauti League Training For World Record
Point, pause. Point, pause. Marco Tiezzi and Gigliola Borgnis — the atmonauti masters — training for the World Atmonauti League 2011 event, where they recently set the new atmonauti relative work 2-way (ARW2) world record. Does the foot-to-the-face at 1:16 still count as a point? Watch Video »
Friday Freakout: AFF Student Loses Both Instructor...
Poor Robi Lanana never did a tandem skydive, but Andre Stepsky got video of Robi’s first AFF jump (level 1) at Skydive DeLand, which didn’t exactly go according to plan. Both instructors lose their grip on exit, but luckily he remembered to arch like his life depended on it and the instructors eventually caught his... Watch Video »
Navy SEALs HALO Jump
Hooyah! This is a mashup from the movie “Navy Seals” (1990) with the song “Irreversible” by VHS or Beta during a HALO skydive from 30,000 feet. Even though the song has great build up, this scene has a bit of a cheese factor to it — minus the 4 minutes of freefall in movies like... Watch Video »
Friday Freakout: Bow-Tie Line Over Malfunction
If you’re going to have a malfunction and cutaway, the least you could ask for is a perfectly shaped bow-tie line over. But forget about this handsome looking mal; there were some pretty interesting emergency procedures going on here — watch his hands closely (WTF??). But at the end of the day he landed safely... Human Slingshot On First Mr. Bill Attempt
Andrew Revesz pulled off his first Mr. Bill exit to celebrate his 100th jump at Skydive Burnaby, which made for an awesome human slingshot once he “ejected” at 8,000 feet. According to my calculations, a “first” Mr. Bill + 100th jump = 2 cases of beer… and a dirty pie to the face! Fortunately this... Watch Video »
