Here’s another kind of formation flying… this time with badass Red Bull Air Force aerobatic pilot, Martin Sonka, flying side-by-side with skydiver/parachutist, Petr Mestak. Martin holds the airplane in ever so slightly angled flight — much like a helicopter — right next to Mestak underneath his cross-braced parachute. Very impressive.

Friday Freakoout: Insane 200 MPH Plane Fly-By, Misses Within Feet

People walking on wings and flockers docked on planes. That’s what you get when you combine a wingsuit formation team with a wingwalker team from the Scandinavian Airshow. What would have been super-mega-cool is if the wingsuiters had docked on the wingwalkers. Anyone up for the challenge?

I’d love to do a plane-to-plane skydive! I mean, it just looks cool, fun, and totally doable. I’m sure it took a ton of coordination and timing, and I’m sure it was NOT easy, but Troy Hartman makes it look smooth. The smile after he secures himself in the second plane… yeah, that’s the ticket. I actually know Troy personally, and can attest to that smile being the real thing. :D Think you could pull this off?

Um, we can all agree that Yves “Jetman” Rossy is a total badass, right? Okay cool. Well he keeps upping his game, from controlled barrel rolls and flying loops around hot air balloons, to the world’s first flight beside a passenger aircraft — the Breitling DC-3. Not to mention footage from inside the aircraft as he does it. Ridiculous. Amazing. I want one. Now.

You may get dizzy watching this, but it’s only because the PD Factory Team does a beautiful spiral with smoke — along with an aerobatic plane — as a demo jump for the Dubai International Parachuting Championships (DIPC). Must be nice to have friends with badass planes to ~~jump~~ “fall” out of. In this case, a Yak 52. Not too shabby! But definitely not as fun as being ejected from a Yak 52 like this guy. Anyone have a Yak 52, bi-plane, or something else that’s totally badass we can jump out of? Sweet… meet me at the DZ in an hour. You bring the plane, I’ll bring beers.

All I have to say is WHOA. Talk about a 2-way with video! The best part for me is when the guy docks on the wing of the airplane chasing it head down. The outside view will widen your eyes even more. There will be WHOA’s all over the place. Super cool, and oddly looks totally safe… or that’s just how good they are. Quintessential badass right here, peeps. And here’s another version of a similar stunt, only in stunning slow-mo.

Skydiver “Ejected” From Plane

What goes up, must come down! This skydiver gets ejected, for lack of a better word, from a YAK-52 trainer aircraft over Sosnovy Bor Aero Club in Russia. In addition to the mad video editing skills and music, the sub-500 foot static line exit at 2:11 is pretty epic too. Only in Russia. What’s the funniest or craziest exit you’ve ever done?

After carefully planning the stunt at Skydive Perris with Jeb Corliss and pilot Dave Riggs, Luigi attempts to fly his wingsuit in close proximity to a fighter jet — an Aero L-39C Albatros to be exact.
