Yves flew more than 195 feet (60 meters) above the canyon and reached speeds of up to 190 mph (305 km/h).<br /> <br /> One of Rossy&#8217;s biggest hurdles for the canyon flight was receiving certification; in the end, the FAA classified the pilot and wing as an aircraft&#8230; and even gave him a registration number. How cool is that?!<br /> <br /> The 51-year-old&#8217;s previous achievements in his jet-powered wing include a trip across the English Channel and flight over Lake Geneva in Switzerland. From 30,000 feet (9,144 meters), Felix soared 22 miles (35 km) across the entire stretch of water between England and France, hitting a top speed of 220 mph.
