Can you say “Living the Dream?” I believe that phrase might have just been coined to describe Maktoum. And the pancaked open accordian line thingy-ma-bob that seems to be rotating in both directions? And now that my favorite pilot has up and moved to the desert and is now rubbing elbows with His Highness on the regular, I fully expect to see shots of Dean in Dubai edits. Dubai flyers: He’s hilarious and he videos well. In the mean time, we’ll settle for sick swoops, sweet tracks, and more shots of the Palm.

Some foreign faces and flying I recognize in this video! I see Finns and Brits and Swedes just to name a few. A small but skilled group tearing up the skies at the Dubai Sequentials, an invite-only event over Skydive Dubai. The inside flying is fierce and the outside video is creative as hell. Very cool compilation here. Head down, mixed formations, flocking, tracing, and sunset light as the cherry on top. Worth a watch for sure, and check out the view from Team Polte’s perspective.

Funny “Planking” Skydive Exit

In an attempt to outdo the flying crane exit, Nasser Al Neyadi pulled off a new “planking” skydive exit over the Palm Islands at Skydive Dubai. I assume he climbed on the roof and slid off — kind of like a slip ‘n slide from 13,000 feet. How fun! Friday Freakout: Nasty Horseshoe Malfunction Around Foot

Nothing like a nasty horseshoe malfunction wrapping around your foot and ruining your clean pair of underwear at the same time, then cutting away while upside down and landing with the main still in the bag and wrapped around your foot. Now he’ll need a reserve re-pack and a new pair of underwear. Shitty deal (pun intended).
