I feel like I’m at a tunnel carnival watching this… in my best carnival announcer voice, “Step right up! We got 4-way VFS, we got 4-way dynamic, we got 2-ways, we got carving…” Jump in the door and go! This marathon session from Bodyflyers consists of 25 friends flying a total of 21 hours over 3 days! My body is sore just thinking about it. ~Mel

The new concept of Dynamic Freefly is all the rage nowadays — flying that’s fluid and always moving through quadrants of the tunnel. Check out world champion VFS flyers, Team4Speed, as they rock some 4-way dynamic freefly at Paraclete XP. It’s like there are two dynamic routines going on simultaneously… separate, but entirely together. COOL.

Voss Ventus: Vonderful Vindtunnel Video

Voss Ventus competed and won “The Battle of Bottrop 2012,” which was the first tunnel competition of its kind to focus on the new concept of Dynamic Freefly 4-way. A few days prior to the competition, the team got together at Voss Vind — the vvvind tunnel in Voss, Norway — to work on their routine. Andreas Johannessen was asked to document their sessions, and here is the end result. Congrats on the win and the inspiring video!

The Nordic Meet 2012: Dynamic Freefly

Since its inception, The Nordic Meet (TNM) has been pushing the boundaries of human flight for the past 9 years. TNM 2012 focused on the new “Dynamic Freefly 4-Way” wind tunnel competition concept, with the intention of setting up comps around the world and the ultimate goal being a World Cup tour. As always, thanks to Martin Kristensen, Håvard Flaat, and the rest of these rockstars for pushing our sport forward. Check out last years video from The Nordic Meet 2011.
