The North Face: Jump4Heroes’ Adventure Off The Eiger

In an effort to celebrate and raise awareness for the British Armed Forces, the Jump4Heroes team fly one of their dream lines in their wingsuits along the infamous and dominating north face of the Eiger in the Swiss Alps. After taking a minute of silence in memory of all servicemen, past and present, they take the leap. Well worth watching.

This is pretty intense! Jokke Sommer is always pushing the limits, and this wingsuit jump in Switzerland was no different. As Jokke exits the helicopter and flies down the north face of the Eiger, he narrowly squeezes his wingsuit through a tight crack. Epic!

Longest BASE Jump World Record by Dean Potter

In August 2009, Dean Potter scrambled up the north face of the Eiger in Switzerland to set a new world record for the longest BASE jump. In his wingsuit, Dean’s flight lasted nearly 3 minutes and covered a distance of 3.4 miles (5.5 kilometers). Next up, Dean will have to outdo the 2006 world record for the highest BASE jump in a winguit.
