Watching this video of FlajFlaj (pronounced Fly-Fly) at Skydive Elsinore literally put my life in perspective. Oh yeah… this is why I don’t have a life, why I work all week to play on weekends, why I count up my food and rent bill in jump tickets — a new currency. This is why I skydive, to find myself in places this awesome, doing jumps this badass, with some of the coolest people in the world. Gets me thinking that I should look at flight prices to the US of A for next March. See you there next year Peter, I promise!

FlajFlaj: The Epicenter of Awesome

FlajFlaj (pronounced Fly-Fly) is pretty much the epicenter of awesome freefly learning at Skydive Elsinore. The group, led by Peter Nilsson, invades Lake Elsinore, CA every year and dominates the skies, five days a week, for two weeks. They started with 13 people in 2007, and at last report, had 111 participants and 24 coaches in 2013. Here is the edit of week two by the lovely Lika Borzova. The Wonderkid: 16 Years Old, 260 Jumps, Freefly Ninja

This might just seem like an ordinary freefly jump, unti you realize Mohammed Al Huraiz is only 16 years old and already has 260 jumps. And damn can this kid shred! I sure wish I had 260 jumps when I was 16 years old. Hell, I wish I was flying like this at 260 jumps. This reminds me of the “9 jump wonder” tunnel instructor doing his AFF course (a must-watch!).
