We can all agree skydiving is a bloody good time, but this is a bit too much. Spin spin spin, spin stop, bloody mess. That about sums up this gem. I’m not sure if this instructor broke his nose, but with the amount of blood squirting from it, it sure looks like he did. The Working Girls (Lisa Mazzetta, Chazi Blacksher, Amy Benton) did it again, putting on a truly exceptional event for all skydiving sisters, despite the downpour all of Saturday! We took advantage of the downtime by learning and getting to know each other, and enjoyed the Bachelorette Party Sat night with fun panel discussions and my awesome fiancé, Nick Grillet, as emcee extraordinaire. All-day jumping Sunday rounded out a truly amazing weekend with amazing women. ‘Til next year!

Earlier in the event, they also completed a 100-way from 13,500 feet. No additional altitude necessary. Badass belly flying at it’s finest, circa 2001.

If you’re uncomfortable with dozens of topless women, avert your virgin eyes. This is quite possibly the best commercial ever made, or the best formation skydive, or both. And only the Danish could get away with something like this. But I’m not sure how effective Fleggaard’s commercial is from a marketing perspective. Don’t get me wrong, the half-naked women are nice and all, but how many of you really remember the price of the Siemens washing machine? I didn’t think so. Then again, sex does sell. I’ll take 2 please!

Golden Knights: Army Girls Git ‘Er Done

Go Army is right! The U.S. Army’s Golden Knights Female 4-way (GKF4) competition team is relatively new, but they’ve been training hard. GKF4 won gold at the CISM competition back in July 2011, and took 4th place at the World Cup competition in Saarlouis, Germany. Congrats to this up-and-coming female 4-way formation skydiving (FS) team. Wow, that’s a tongue twister; try saying “female 4-way formation skydiving” really fast while on auto-tune.

60-Way Skydiving Record in Ukraine

This is the Ukranian 60-way big way formation skydiving record set in 2009 at DZ Borodianka. The exit was at 16,000 feet (4,800 meters) and the completed formation was only flying for a few seconds before break-off… but a success!
