Whoa… this skydiver first loses his wallet while filming his friend’s hop-n-pop. Then, under canopy, he sees it fall right past him. THEN, he spirals down to fly by the wallet… and almost catches it mid-air!! Unfortunately he never found it :( How cool would that be if he actually caught his wallet?

Friday Freakout: Oh-No Hop-n-Pop!

This is pretty much what you don’t want to do on a hop-n-pop. BUT, what she did do right is get a parachute out over her head and landed safely. Primo, numero uno, most important thing. Great. And here are some tips on how to improve: 1) get further forward in the door so you’re sure not to hit the back bulkhead, 2) know that the wind outside is strong so be strong yourself, and 3) present to the relative wind. Friday Freakout: The Longest Malfunction In Skydiving History

This has to be one of the longest parachute malfunctions I’ve ever seen. In fact, I made a sandwich halfway through it. Long story short, Niklas Daniel of AXIS Flight School intended to do a high altitude hop and pop to work on some canopy flocking, but got an interesting malfunction instead. Sure, a hook knife might have done the trick, but Nick opted to ride it out until 4,000 feet before chopping so that his canopy wouldn’t drift too far away from the DZ. And of all the days for this to happen… it was April Fool’s Day.
