Friday Freakout: We’ve Got A Screamer

This girl is still game for her tandem jump, but she screams her ass off on the way to the door. This is a pretty tame “screamer” compared to the grown man crying before his tandem or the woman freaking out on her tandem exit. What do you think… at what point should a tandem instructor continue the jump or call the jump off?

Friday Freakout: Skydiver Nearly Impacts Mountain!

Holy &$@%, this is scary! This video should emphasize the importance of a proper spot, even if you’re not the first group exiting… especially over mountains. Audidbles and AADs didn’t help in this situation because they were set for a landing area at a much lower altitude, and drifting in freefall may have also been a contributing factor. If anything, learn from this video to avoid the same mistakes; it could’ve ended much worse. There has been some debate over whether he should’ve used his reserve (textbook emergency procedure) instead of his main (instinct). Thoughts?

Friday Freakout: Women Freaks Out on Tandem Exit

This women freaks out right before exit on her first tandem skydive, but in the end she makes the jump. Although this is pretty entertaining, you can’t criticize her… she’s just verbally expressing what most of us were probably thinking before our first skydive. Did you scream/yell/cry before your first jump?

Friday Freakout: Grown Man Cries Before Tandem Skydive

This is a clip from America’s Funniest Home Videos of a grown man who cries before exit on his tandem skydive, and in the end he just can’t bring himself to do it. He does, however, give it a second try to regain a little bit of his pride.

Distracted BASE Jumper Pulls Low

This jump might not outdo this other crazy low pull, but it’s still too close for comfort. According to this BASE jumper, he unintentionally pulled low because he got distracted by his own shadow on the ground. As a result, he panicked when reaching for his pilot chute once he realized he was too low. Lesson learned: when you see your own shadow, it’s time to pull! Pay attention and be safe. How low would you say he was once his canopy was fully open?

Amir and Streeter from CollegeHumor have been pulling elaborate pranks on each other for the past 4 years. In Prank War 8, Amir attempts to outdo both the Yankee Stadium and half-court basketball shot pranks by convincing Streeter he’s falling to his death while skydiving. “Kick your legs!” LOL.

Friday Freakout: Pilot Pretends to Faint Prank

Best. Pilot. Ever! LMAO. Obviously the passenger wasn’t wearing a rig, because he loses his mind when the pilot pretends to faint and kill the throttle. I’m not sure what language this is but I’m pretty sure the translation would go something like “holy #$%^@&$* shit… wake the #*%$ UP!”
