Now this is my idea of a hybrid jump. The peeps down at Skydive Spaceland in Houston linked an 18-way hybrid with pods, and thankfully it didn’t end with a nasty nutshot like this other hybrid-gone-wrong.

200-Way Record Attempt Over California

Following yesterday’s photo of the 200-way exit, this is Craig O’Brien’s video of 200 of the world’s most talented skydivers attempting to break the California state record at Skydive Perris in October 2011 (submission as an official record is still pending). Big Way Traffic: 200-Way Exit

A little traffic is expected on big ways, especially when 200 skydivers exiting 9 aircraft attempt to set a new California state formation skydiving record at Skydive Perris. Landing must have been interesting; kind of like this big way landing traffic, only twice as many skydivers/canopies. This is just a teaser for tomorrow’s video, so stay tuned. Blue Skies and Water Over Thailand

A 14-way formation skydive at the 2009 Thai Sky Festival in — you guessed it — Thailand. Unfortunately the 2011 Thai Sky Festival was cancelled but will hopefully be back next year. This shot reminds me of a few skydiving pics in paradise, like Luigi Cani flying his wingsuit over Fiji and this 6-way formation skydive at Tahiti Skydive.

Amazing 400-Way Formation Skydiving World Record

This is an old clip from 2006 of the World Team completing the 400-way formation skydiving world record in Thailand. This isn’t like the Mission 100 big way at Parachute Montreal or the Square One 200-Way Sequential at Skydive Arizona. This is a very impressive 400-way… like a game of human Tetris in the sky. 60-Way Skydiving Record in Ukraine

This is the Ukranian 60-way big way formation skydiving record set in 2009 at DZ Borodianka. The exit was at 16,000 feet (4,800 meters) and the completed formation was only flying for a few seconds before break-off… but a success!
