Friday Freakout: Swooper Skips Pond Like Stone

Yeeeeah, so you know how you can skip stones on a pond. Well you’re not supposed to try that using your body as the stone. Not gonna lie, it’s very rare that anyone gets to be featured twice for a Friday Freakout, but this is the same “swooper” who was clotheslined by a wire fence. In fact, this is a first! Beer for everyone.

Friday Freakout: Swooper Crashes Into Plane

Unfortunately this swooper thought he was at a swoop comp and mistook the plane for a gate. Admittedly, I was disappointed the gate, err, plane didn’t make the “woop-woop” sound… at least so that he thought he made the gates. This is not recommended. And always remember: bones can heal, but the repairs to a plane will cost many jump tickets. :p

Swooping and low turns don’t go well together. Gravity and broken femurs do though. Stay away from the latter… it’s not a good combo. Unless you’re one of those “chicks dig scars” kinda guys. Even then, I don’t recommend it. Just ask this guy.

Ah, the dangers of standing next to the pond on a dropzone. You’ve got to love how Brent’s friend cares more about the video footage than his buddy who just got clotheslined by some A-lines. On the bright side, at least Brent’s face wasn’t filleted by the lines or the swooper wasn’t clotheslined by a wire fence.

Friday Freakout: Swooper Clotheslined By Wire Fence

Swooping is fun… until you get clotheslined by a wire fence! Yet another way to add instant brakes while swooping. This reminds me of a fighter jet snagging the tailhook when landing on an aircraft carrier, minus the cool fighter jet and smooth landing.
