What Would Wingsuiting Jesus Do?
More importantly, what WOULDN’T wingsuiting Jesus do?? Obviously wingsuit proximity flying and a wingsuit rodeo are on His bucket list. But what else do you think wingsuiting Jesus would do? View Photo »
Veterans Day: Poppy Proximity Flying
In commemoration of Veterans Day/Remembrance Day, Major Alastair Macartney and Sergeant Deane ‘Smudge’ Smith of Jump4Heroes went wingsuit proximity flying off Mount Brento in Italy to raise awareness for The Royal British Legion. They’re wearing permanent poppies on their expensive wingsuits; the least we can all do is wear a temporary poppy for Veterans Day/Remembrance... Watch Video »
She Can Fly: Hot Air Ballon Fly-By
There’s nothing hotter than a hot French woman flying by a hot air balloon in a wingsuit. Except maybe wearing a wingsuit on a hot day. Following the “I Believe I Can Fly” documentary about highlining and BASE jumping, director Sebastien Montaz-Rosset just finished shooting this documentary about professional female BASE jumper Géraldine Fasnacht. Fly Like Brick: Aerobatic Wingsuit Flying
Aerobatic wingsuit flying is kinda like figure skating. Except it’s way more badass with a wingsuit in the sky instead of skates and glitter. Never mind. It’s nothing like figure skating. Congrats to Jarno Cordia and Alejandro Lopez Arce of team Fly Like Brick — a wingsuit skydiving team — for taking 1st place at... Watch Video »

The Skyliners are a group of friends pushing their limits by combining BASE jumping with highlining — a vertiginous mix of climbing, slacklining and tightrope walking. This is the trailer for the feature documentary “I Believe I Can Fly (Flight of the Frenchies)” by Sebastien Montaz-Rosset. I can’t wait to see the full documentary. Stunning... Watch Video »
Unofficial Vertical Wingsuit Formation Record
This was the vertical wingsuit record attempt at Skydive Carolina in September 2011. Although it was the largest vertical wingsuit formation flown so far, it’s an unofficial record because the USPA doesn’t have a category for vertical formations yet. Photo by Richard Schneider. View Photo »
Wingsuiting Ninja
Hayden Galvin — founder of 5D Wingsuit School — looks like a wingsuiting ninja in his slick skydiving gear, although I don’t think anyone can look more badass than the Sky Jester (sorry Hayden :-). Hayden’s 5D Wingsuit School was coaching a 4-day advanced wingsuit camp at the Bridgewater Dropzone in Victoria, Australia. Photo by... View Photo »

Amazing Collection: The Art of Flight
This is an oldie but a goodie released earlier this year by Phoenix-Fly called “The Need 4 Speed: The Art of Flight.” It’s a collection of proximity wingsuit flying footage during the 2009/2010 season by a group of talented wingsuit BASE jumpers, including Jokke Sommer, Robert Pecnik, Dominik Loyen, and the late Mirko Schmidt and... Jeb jumped from a helicopter 6,500 feet above the mountain before flying through the 360-foot-tall, 96-foot-wide, 260-foot-long hole in... Watch Video »
Taking The Leap
Sacrebleu! A stunning overhead shot of Matthias Giraud as he counts down before taking the leap off an exit point on Mount Baring. I’m sure you remember Matthias, also known as Super Frenchie — the crazy Frenchman who escaped an avalanche while ski-BASE jumping in the French Alps. He’s 1 part French, 2 parts badass. View Photo »

You can also check out Robert’s last six... Watch Video »
Close Cliffs. Tall Trees. Long Lines.
Wingsuit proximity flying at it's best. Some women never wear the same outfit twice. Matt Gerdes -- author of The Great Book of BASE -- never jumps the same cliff twice (so far this season). Matt and his friends hike in the mountains, toss rocks, and fly long lines around cliffs and through tall trees. Check out "40 seconds of tickle" -- more proxy flying goodness from Matt: http://bit.ly/oLeVAY Watch Video »
