Austrian-born Felix Baumgartner set a new world record on July 31, 2003 when he became the first person to cross the English Channel with a carbon wing. Longest BASE Jump World Record by Dean Potter
In August 2009, Dean Potter scrambled up the north face of the Eiger in Switzerland to set a new world record for the longest BASE jump.
