I sucked line twists down to 1000 feet once; I was flat and stable with a 7-cell canopy overhead, but massive twists in a drop zone I’d never jumped before… I figured it would clear (I had deployed by 2500) and I kicked through it, but I still think about that. I also chopped nasty twists at 2000 because the canopy was diving. I cannot imagine ever taking that time to sort through the problem: We usually don’t have more than 6000 feet to work it out. Brian, man of mighty stones. My hat’s off to you. Thanks for your awesome work that helps keep the rest of us thinking and safer… :)
