Similar excited yelling. He moved to the rear of the plane and sat on his main before the door was ever opened, the pilot approved us proceeding. We did the 4 way without him. Sh!t does happen. Stay tuned!

Was in a Cessna 185 for a not-quite-so-dramatic main-dump when the rear-facing jumper swept his pin on the door handle on the prepare to spot maneuver. So out of the door I go on the camera footstep of Mullin's King Air... Student starts to emerge and voila, rubs the pin on the way out and the pack is out... I saw three hands pulling him in and I followed up getting inside the plane with him. Mind you, 30 seconds before that I did a full-rig check (pin, leg straps, chest straps, BOC in place, etc). I am grateful for the fact that all other people on-board were looking out for everyone else . Lesson: We need to include self-responsibility awareness about moving inside the jump plane and the last-second self-discipline of gear check before presenting ourselves out to the environment.

Had a similar incident happen to a student of mine at the WFFC in Rantoul… So out of the door I go on the camera footstep of Mullin’s King Air… Student starts to emerge and voila, rubs the pin on the way out and the pack is out… I saw three hands pulling him in and I followed up getting inside the plane with him.

By: Anonymous

Just shared this on a Facebook page from Skydive New England for an event this weekend called, ironically, "Check yourself before you wreck yourself!!!" LOL!!! I LOVE how the guy is yelling at this dude: "Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-WHOA!!!!
