Google Earth it. The DZ is on the East side of Lago Maggiore. As though the Alps wern&#039;t enough, the climb outs always involve the pilots taking advantage of &#039;ground effect&#039; thermals. Meaning you are never more than 50 feet off the deck hugging the mountains until about 9 thousand feet above field elevation.
